Title: VDI on the HandEra Post by Ou_Boet on Aug 31st, 2004, 3:17pm I just wanted to thank you for a great viewer and converter application. I can also confirm that so far all seems to work very well on the HandEra 330. I'll keep you posted if I find any bugs. Cheers OB |

Title: Re: VDI on the HandEra Post by Ou_Boet on Sep 1st, 2004, 11:16am I've been playing with VDI heavily for the last day or so and really like what it can do on the HE. One more suggestion though. Is it possible to add a pref where we could specify the external card folder where maps etc are saved. My /Palm/Launcher folder is really full and adding loads of pics in there just makes the problem worse. Finding stuff can be a nightmare. Cheers OB |

Title: Re: VDI on the HandEra Post by Denis Bakin on Sep 1st, 2004, 9:37pm It is good you have reminded me of this. The VFS image search code was designed to go down from /Palm/Launcher/ to subdirs but there was a bug I forgot fo fix that stopped it from finding anything useful there. If this is a convenient feature I can make a bugfix release 1.7b (maybe in a week or so just in case anything else shows up). Note, that currently, the allowed serch depth is 1 level, so if anybody needs more, let me know, but be aware that this might slow down the menu and "Browse" form opening. |

Title: Re: VDI on the HandEra Post by Ou_Boet on Sep 2nd, 2004, 3:51pm Denis I'd really appreciate being able to save stuff to /Palm/VDI and maybe even have subfolders in there. Is it possible? OB |

Title: Re: VDI on the HandEra Post by Denis Bakin on Sep 3rd, 2004, 12:26am It will be possible in the bugfix release 1.7b. I'll try to build the release sometime this weekend. This will also include fixes for the resize problem you mentioned and for fast zoom ('x') inconsistency when using gestures. As for the other suggestions, the image dimensions on screen seems to be a decorative feature (not the first priority). The batch processing is in the roadmap but I have not yet decided how. The most likely the first functionality allowing batch processing would be a command line interfase to the converter. |
